Large Farmhouse Rustic jug with wire ceramic handles
This beautiful jug was hand crafted from a dark stoneware clay body, it has a long accentuated high spout, and little cutouts at the top back rim from which vintage copper wire has been attached and a large ceramic handle is threaded thru.
This piece has been decorated with blue crisscross lines all the way around the spout and collar, the body is carved out in a fluted texture, the brown clay body breaks thru the matte white glaze beautifully giving lovely blue/brown tones. The glaze inside this vessel makes it fully watertight. It comfortably holds 1 Litre of liquid.
Would make the most beautiful vase filled with a bunch of flowers picked from the garden or dried blooms.
