Large Farmhouse Rustic jug with wire ceramic handles
This beautiful jug was hand crafted from a rustic speckled raku clay body, it has a long accentuated high spout, and little cutouts at the top back rim from which vintage copper wire has been attached and a large ceramic handle and beads on either side is threaded thru.
The body is textured in a fluted design, the brown clay body breaks peeks thru at the top and rim contrasting nicely with the matte white / light grey speckled finish of the glaze.
The glaze inside this vessel makes it fully watertight. It comfortably holds 1 Litre of liquid.
Would also make the most beautiful vase filled with a bunch of flowers picked from the garden or dried blooms.
Approximate measurements: 22cm tall x 12cm wide at spout and 11cm wide at base.
