Oval shaped platter/plate with subtle carvings along the rim

Oval Shaped platter with carved rim 

This lovely platter/plate has a beautiful subtle raked surface texture, the carvings continue along the rim. This piece has been hand formed out of a warm brown stoneware clay body.

Decorated with a satin white glaze over a grey glaze, allowed to be sanded back along the edges to expose the warm clay body beneath, it also has a little black glazing to accentuate the rim. 

The base in unglazed and sanded smooth
