An extra large sized bowl with a decorative scallop rim hand formed out of a rustic speckled dark clay body.
The interior has been carved and decorated with a soft grey/white glaze but these details have been largely lost as the satin white glaze applied over the top covered them. (please look at the second image which accurately highlights the faint carvings that remain visible).
The outside of the bowl has been decorated with vertical line carvings into thick bands of light grey and white glaze.
Measuring approximately: 32cm wide x 6-6.5cm deep
The base has been left bare and sanded back.
This extra large bowl would be wonderful to hold some delicious food served straight from the table or perfect to have out on permanent display to hold fruits or gorgeous home wares.
