Pomegranates are such a beautiful autumn fruit not only for their delicious taste but also their beautiful form and colour.
These plates were inspired by their lovely form, the largest plate is large enough to be used as a platter to hold cheeses, fruits, cakes and all the yummy stuff. The smaller plates would compliment the larger one very well or used individually to hold desserts, individual cheeses, even as a little holding tray in your kitchen.
Handmade out of a lovely dark stoneware clay body they have been formed into a pomegranate shape and given some texturing to represent the seeds held within, finished in a satin white glaze, allowing the edges to remain unglazed to give a natural earthy feel. The bases have been sanded and left bare.
