Scallop detailed cylindrical vases with blue freckles
Handmade vases using a lovely sandy textured clay body. Each vase starts off as a cylindrical form and is then given a personality of its own with the addition of scalloped cutouts, they have individual shapes and designs, each is then decorated with very small freckles or spots in navy blue and is then glazed with a satin white finish. The bottom part of each vessel is left un glazed to show off the lovely clay surface, the bases are also un glazed and sanded and stamped.
Vases were designed to hold water and hold a small posy of flowers or alternatively be left bare adding personality to any space they inhabit.
